Soccer Cake Smash!

To be honest, I know nothing about soccer so when these clients contacted me wanting a Manchester United themed cake smash, it took a bit of research to realize we were talking a soccer cake smash! They had some great ideas and I absolutely love collaborating with parents for first birthday photo shoots. As always, we grab a few pre-cake portraits and in this case we headed out to my backyard where there happened to be some gorgeous, super-yummy light. And I still had a borrowed lens from a workshop I had just attended so it was awesome to have another opportunity to use it before returning. We headed indoors, and this little soccer player kicked up a fun time with his soccer-ball cake (AMAZING job One Sweet Tooth Bakery)! How cute are his little soccer-themed bloomers?
